Is anyone working on a ban on plastic bags in Blacksburg? I know this is not a new idea, and I'd like to link up with anyone who has worked on this. I'd like to find a way to ban plastic givaway bags from merchants like grocers, dollar stores, etc... and encourage people to use reusable shopping bags instead. There are restrictions on what the Town can do, based on Dillon's Law, but I am hopeful there are people interested and involved in this cause. If you can share information or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
